Description of the Domaine Bertheau & Fils
More complex yet more reserved on the nose with the hallmark sexy, spicy and pure black fruit aromas that are followed by deeply pitched, sappy and wonderfully elegant medium full flavors that are very forward. This is classy juice with rounded, delicious and seductive flavors that will need only a few years to be perfect.
Robert Parker : 89-91 points
A blend of Baudes, Groseilles, Gruenchers and Noirots, Bertheau’s 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru offers up notes of sweet red berries, cassis, peonies, dark chocolate and grilled squab. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, with more fleshy and underlying structure than the Chambolle AOC, displaying a generous core of succulent fruit and good length on the finish.
