"The 2014 Meursault 1er Cru Sous le Dos d’Ane has a stony, slate-scented bouquet, perhaps more Puligny-like than Meursault. The palate is crisp and fresh with a fine line of acidity. This is a pretty Meursault with a detailed, citrus peel finish that is poised and pure. I appreciate the Zen-like personality of this Meursault that dovetails nicely with its Puligny "cousins."

"Stone fruits and flowers on the nose. Tight and subdued but bright and delineated, offering lemon, stone fruit and stony mineral flavors. Finishes with good length. These young vines were planted between 1995 and 2004."
