Description of the Domaine Mongeard Mugneret
Half way between Dijon, the capital of the region of Burgundy, and Beaune, the capital of Burgundy wine, between the Clos de Vougeot and Nuits Saint Georges, Vosne-Romanée, securely rooted into its venerable cellars, is - thanks to its great wines - one of the French wine-producing villages which are the best known throughout the world.
Robert Parker : 87-89 points
"The 2012 Vosne-Romanee Village comes from four parcels in “Les Chalandins”, “Les Bossieres”, “Au Reas” and “Au Dessus de la Riviere” and sees around 20% new oak. It has a pleasant bouquet of light strawberry and redcurrant aromas mixed with a touch of dried rose petal. The palate is elegant on the entry, nicely balanced with uncomplicated raspberry and strawberry fruit dallying with a touch of spice on the finish. This is very fine and classic in style." (2013)
